Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay fighter from Thailand and mixed martial artist who is currently fighting with the Flyweight Division of UFC. She is the younger sister of fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her professional journey as a Muay Thai boxer. She made her debut in 2003 during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of this tournament, beating Suzane Mill at the end of the tournament by a unanimous decision. Antonina was able to follow it up, and was awarded a silver medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008, and then a gold in 2011 and the year-end 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia's professional career began in 2003. In 2012, she was the winner of her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship, in 2016, she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's final fight was with Isa Keskikangas of the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by the unanimous verdict. Antonina shevchenko recorded her first professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova during KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan. She managed to take home in the second round of a TKO fight as well as her two bouts in the WXF: X-Impact World Championships which resulted in the record being 3-0. Shevchenko put on a pause from MMA in order to focus on her kickboxing. She then made her comeback in a fight against Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko won Anissa Haddaoui with a unanimous decision. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4 in an unanimous vote. In 2018, she quit the competition and began competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's superior strike skills allowed her to TKO Nievera via knees in the back of her. Antonina's UFC contract was extended in the wake of this win. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hitters Finale vs Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was defeated by Roxanne Modafferi via split decision after she won her first bout. Antonina bounced back from the loss to defeat Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the fight of the night bonus in the fight. Shevchenko fell to Katlyn Cookagian, and defeated Ariane Lipski's three fights. Recently Antonina suffered defeat to Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos in a fight with.
